Sister's Room

Jackie has started painting her room - from horrible pink to lavender/purple.  She'll have one wall that will be darker as an accent wall

Today we found some porcelain dolls at a thrift store and couldn't pass them up

Now, those who know me - don't die of shock - that one is mine

I found an actual curio table - perfect for the Neo-Victorian room - score!

We picked up the pace at this point and didn't take a lot of pictures except of terrain. 



We jammed through Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and Alabama (not in one day) we don't have pictures downloaded yet.

When we got here, my sister's cat became a happy boy!

Road Trip part 2

we stopped in a desert town to see my family and spend the night

Day 2 was more of Route 66 and the Grand Canyon

We did see Elk in the park, a herd of them but the pictures weren't great

Recent Absence

As I said, I flew out to California for half a day and then drove my sister, her dog and car back to our Southern state (after a glitch in Denver, CO).

While I was gone, my cat MISSED me

He threw the doll out of the chair so he could crowd into the chair and sulk

along the way we saw two car wrecks (which included a major injury and a fatality (always a tragedy), lots of road kill and lots to see.

All Present and Accounted For

I flew to California for half a day and then drove my sister, her dog and car back to our southern state to show her our new home and settle her in with us.

She loves the house and her dog is mingling well my Mom's dogs and the cats are adapting, they've figured out that the new dog isn't going to try and hurt them or chase them so they're settling down.

Right now, we're tired.  More tomorrow or the next day
