I finally finished the painting. The trim wasn't easy with the back problems so it took longer than anticipated.
that's the hallway primed for paint from the horrible red squares that were badly painted over the yellow and splattered on the trim.
The yellow is actually a couple of shades lighter than it shows in the photos. The doors and trim were painted with a primer and then with white gloss.
We've begun weeding out the large flower garden areas in the front. It isn't easy so we're doing a little at a time. Today my sister and I were challenged by a stump of an old bush...... It wasn't a bush. The base under the ground was six inches across and the main roots/base was down 3 feet.
we sanded off the badly painted red squares on the yellow paint in the hallway (WTH?) and repairs some dings. Sanded all that and primed with paint. One coat of yellow is on - now the finishing coat and redoing the trim.
All the paint jobs in the house are horrible. I would make a safe guess these people were blind or stoned when they painted.
Just a note to say we're still working on stuff around the house. Pictures to follow - I'm working on painting the hallway and correcting the miserable paint job previous tenants did.
I'm working on a beadwork project and Ma is working on an embroidery piece.
